Killer Web Design Portfolio

Financially speaking, the college years are an awkward period of one’s life. While you are striving for a better future, you are paying massive amount of money for tuition and books. You are spending money so you can make more money later in life.

But how can you have a better future if you don’t have the money to go through college?

To solve this problem, many college students hold part-time jobs to scramble up their tuitions. But in the process of doing so, they sacrifice their valuable study time for relatively little pay. Their grades may suffer as a result, which could very well affect their future, both financially and professionally. This defeats the purpose of getting college education.

Luckily, there is the internet. Although making money online requires some work and dedication in the beginning, the income you generate has the potential to sustain you throughout the college years.

How is this better than getting a job? Although your business may seem unprofitable at first as you put sweat and blood into it, your profits will gradually build up with very little maintenance over time. This means you can still make good money without working the hours.

Take blogging for example. If you start a blog and place an ad on it, you are mostly likely to get paid only when someone clicks on it (it’s called pay per click, or PPC). During the first few weeks, you probably won’t see any significant income because there are not enough readers visiting your blog. But as you write religiously, people start to pay attention to you, and your blog will convert those visits into income.

Now let’s assume that your blog is now fairly profitable, what do you think would happen to your income if you take a break from writing when midterm season comes around? Well, since you have already built a good blog, you will still receive a steady stream of income without trying too hard.

In addition, owning an online business means that you can make money whether you are partying or studying. Your online business will be running 24/7. Wouldn’t it be nice knowing that you are pocketing money as you walk through the college campus to your next class? The internet, oddly enough, is a lucrative opportunity that few college students realize.
