Bonuses are like gravy when you are selling ebooks or other information products. People demand value, especially with information products, and including bonuses is a great way to add value to your product.

You see, there is still a lot of mistrust in people’s mind about information products. Will your information product really deliver? Can I really get the results your information product promises? Bonuses can take away those worries especially when the value of the bonuses far exceed the value of the information product itself!

The object is to add so many bonuses at such a high value, that your customer thinks, “Even if the PDF e-book is trash, it will be worth the price to get the bonuses!” Of course, you want to put out an excellent product, but you want to wow their socks off with additional bonuses. But kind of bonuses do you offer?

There are all sorts of bonuses you can add, including videos, free reports, other e-books, audio recordings : the only limit is your imagination. As a general rule of thumb, when selling digital products, you should include digital bonuses. When customers purchase your PDF e-book or site membership, it doesn’t make sense to ship a physical product – it’s complicated, and adds to the costs of your product. However, if you are selling (and shipping) a physical product, then physical bonuses are a logical choice.

But where so you find high quality bonuses at a low price to you.

Start by Googling “free ebooks” on your topic. For example, I recently searched for “asthma free ebook”. This quick search allowed me to find other ebooks written on asthma. Those other authors jumped at the chance to share their ebook virally.

The one thing you must do is read the permission statement in the ebook to see if it’s okay to share it with others. Most free ebooks will give you permission to share, but not permission to sell. So, you want to offer it as a bonus in addition to your info product – not bundled in with your info product.

Online article directories are another good place to search for articles and other bonus material. You are permitted to use these articles, but must keep the article and author’s biographical information intact. There are hundreds, even thousands, of article directories online – two of my favorites are at www.ezinearticles.com and www.articlecity.com.

Find ten really good articles and compile them into a special report. You may even want to put your own commentary at the end just to personalize it a bit.

Use those three great sites to find incredible bonuses and add value to your ebook. Using this method, you can beef up your sales – once customers see your great value, they won’t be able to resist! However, even in the marketing of your products there are many ways you can do this for free. By doing this for free you literally have zero costs associated with selling the product.

As an example so you can really understand the power behind the profit margins of a ebook publishing business, lets suppose that it cost you about $500 to write an ebook that you are going to sell online. After you incur your costs when you write ebooks you are now ready to sell your completed products.

Once you have a finished product, you can now promote that product and make money. Some ways you can promote the product for free include writing articles and submitting them to different web sites online, meeting people on social networking web sites that are prospects for your product and more. Lets say you sell your ebook for $47 a person. It only takes 11 sales to break even. From the 12th sale forward, you are making money.

One of the easiest things to get started on with internet marketing is Ebooks. With a few tips below you should not need to delay writing your own any longer. Although this process assumes that you’re doing the writing yourself, you could hire someone else to write the articles or just produce additional material.

Once you’ve decided on a topic for your Ebook, and have done research to ensure that people are looking for and buying information on this topic, write a series of articles. By writing the articles it provides practice and they are easier to do, but they can also be used later to help promote your book in all sorts of online areas. Post several articles on various websites, as well as on the article directories and the number of views your articles receive will show you what potential your book has for making sales.

The overall structure can be a work in progress while the article content is being written. If you are worried about the structure you should not go wrong of you follow the normal introduction section, body content, and then a conclusion to the subject, which might also have a helpful resources area as well. On completing each article, insert it into the Ebook because this is a good way to see just how many you will need. There is less room for error with Ebooks and no room for unnecessary information to clutter them, so don’t make it longer than about 50 to 60 pages.
