Back in 1979 the average marketer would try and engage the potential audience by print, billboard, television, TV, radio. In 2010 the average marketer has all these tools available at a fraction of the price and a lot of new exciting tools in the tool bag to use as well, since the internet started in 1996 it has made sense to use it as a cost effective advertising medium, but as the internet has the long tail effect, meaning the possibilities of advertising are endless the marketer no needs to be very selective in who to advertise to.

How exactly do you “Mine your own business”? By clarifying your job title. I don’t mean your title as an owner, president, vice president, CEO, manager, attorney, doctor, realtor, etc. I mean your title as a MARKETER! You see, no matter what profession you’re in and no matter what your job title, you are at the very core, a marketer.

If you are interested, you can set up an online business and make money doing it. All it takes is a little bit of guidance and some hard work. But once it is set up, you can really do well. One of my favorite ways is to sell “one off products.” I use the information in my head about a topic. I’m very familiar with, host a webinar, or a teleseminar, record it, and then sell it over and over again.
